The American flag is an honored symbol of the nation's unity. This Flag Day, June 14, 2008 at 8:30 a.m. North Metro Fire Rescue and the Broomfield Veteran's Museum are joining together to offer their 4 th Annual Flag Retirement Ceremony for the community. The ceremony is free to the public and will be held adjacent to North Metro Fire Rescue Station 61 at 1275 Midway Boulevard, Broomfield.
Citizens, who have old flags which have become worn beyond repair, may retire their flag properly by donating the flag to this ceremony. Citizens can drop off their flags at the following locations and times:
North Metro Fire Station 62
10550 Huron Street, Northglenn
Monday-Sunday, 8:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.
North Metro Fire Station 61
1275 Midway Boulevard, Broomfield
Monday-Sunday, 8:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Broomfield Veteran's Museum
12 Garden Center, Broomfield
Saturdays from 1 until 4 p.m.
or Tuesdays from 7 to 9 p.m.
North Metro Fire Rescue and Broomfield Veteran's Museum will be accepting
flags up until 7:00 p.m. on June 13, 2008.
