Legacy High School Cheerleaders continue to work hard spending their free time volunteering and raising money for Breast Cancer.
During the month of October the cheerleaders have been spending time selling "Pink T-Shirts that were to be worn at the Legacy "Pink Out" football game. The "Pink Out" football game was held last week at North Stadium. At the game the stands were decorated with Pink Streamers and all around in the stands Pink T -Shirts could be seen. The cheerleaders wore their Pink T Shirts over their uniforms to complete the sea of "Pink" that could be seen at this game.
The cheerleaders goal was to sell enough t-shirt to raise at least $3,000.00 to be donated to the Breast Cancer Network of Strength Foundation. The girls surpassed their goal by raising $4,000.00 for this foundation.
During half time at this game, the Legacy Cheerleaders presented this $4,000.00 check to Meghan Stinton, the representative for the Breast Cancer Network of Strength located in Denver. Ms. Stinton, herself a former cheerleader, was thrilled with the efforts the girls put into this fundraiser and stated that the $4,000 will help the foundation continue their mission of ensuring no one faces
breast cancer alone.
Congrats to these girls, and their coaches, on being a great example of what a difference a group of girls can make when they put their minds and their hearts into it.
