On May 6, 2008 Fire District residents can cast their vote for representation on three open seats for the board. Although North Metro protects and responds to two municipalities, all District Directors serve at-large and the terms last for four years. "While it can be difficult to get people to vote in board elections," says Public Information Officer Wendy Forbes, "we hope that the citizens get involved in the political process this year, especially since the Fire District continues to address safety and quality of life issues that impact every resident and property owner."
April 7, 2008 is the last day to register to vote (if you are not already registered) for our May Board of Directors election. You can register to vote at your County Clerk's Office.
