You need to call "The Code Remedy"
Have you recently received a code violation? Are you handicapped? Elderly? Widowed? or Incapacitated? If you are, don't hesitate to call the "Code Remedy."
The Code Remedy is a ministry initiative designed to help neighbors, in the North Metro area, take care of their property by lending a hand with painting jobs, trash removal, snow removal, landcaping projects, fence repair, etc., anything that doesn't require a building, plumbing, electrical, or mechanical license.
It was started by Pastor Bart Janz, from the Holly Ridge Baptist Church, who five years ago had a vision of helping handicapped families with activities that for many of us are part of our daily routine, but for many hadicapped families is a struggle. Pastor Janz always had a heart for the handicapped and when one day he saw that families in his neighborhood were receiving citations for code violations, he thought it would be a perfect opportunity for him to minister to these families.
This great idea was presented to the Holly Ridge Baptist Church and the patriots of the church loved it. Through the support of the church, Pastor Janz and the Program Director; Tim Scudder, were able to buy a trailer and recriut many volunters for this initiative. Currently, the Code Remedy is working in close partnership with the City of Northglenn to help neighbors in the community. "We are very excited to team up with the City of Northglenn to help out and lend a hand to the Northglenn community," says Tim Scudder. Cathy Coward, the City's Community Outreach Coordinator, is also very excited now more than ever, with the help of the Code Remedy, the City will be able to help more Northglenn neighbors.
If you have code violations and you are unable to take care of the problems, we encourage you to call Cathy at 303-450- 8904. The Code Remedy is a ministry from the church and does not accept donations, contributions, or tips.
The Code Remedy initiative was launched in October of 2005, and they are expecting to be very proactive this Spring.
Pator Janz believes that the Code Remedy is a great ministry and the entire Holly Ridge Baptist Church community believes that a "Heart for People" is a "Heart for God."
