Get up off your indifference

GET UP OFF YOUR INDIFFERENCE

It sometimes seems so safe, so comfortable to stand by and say, "I can't be bothered. I will not take sides. I will wait and see what happens. I am neutral."

There is no such thing as neutrality when we are in the middle of something that should be done. There really is not such a thing as indifference in the presence of any important issue or any important principle.

'Indifference never wrote great works, nor thought out striking inventions, nor reared the solemn architecture that awes the soul, nor breathed sublimed music, nor painted glorious pictures, nor undertook heroic philanthropies. - All these grandeurs are born of enthusiasm, and are done heartily.'

There are many today who are indifferent. They are on the fringe of everything - not altogether in the picture and not altogether out. They want all the advantages of everything but cannot be found when obligations are to be fulfilled. Indifference is very much like closing our eyes on the journey of life. We pass by a great many things that are fine and beautiful, and much that we could help to improve. We never see any of it when indifference closes our eyes.

Each one of you has walked through my door with a reason. And with your person and problems, I listen, examine, adjust, coach and care for the expressed intention of creating self-healing, higher functioning beings of mind, body, and spirit in all areas of our lives. Because, I believe in INNATE possibilities. Each one of us has greatness within us. But as all in things worthwhile, it takes WORK, COMMITMENT, AND COURAGE TO CHANGE. I have never turned anybody away from my practice for lack of financial means, but I have turned people away for not making their health a priority.

I encourage each of you to VOTE : ON TUESDAY NOVEMBER 1, 2005. 'THE TRUE GENTLEMAN" - Dr. Sean Reif D.C. - Ward 1 Northglenn City Council

Embedded deep in American character is that we are a restless people; always on the move. The result this is rampant sprawl. A phenomenon that has sucked the economic and social vitality out of traditional communities and filled acres of farmland and open space with formless structures. We are dis-connected to one another except by our dependence to the automobile. To congested to be efficient; too chaotic to be beautiful; and too dispersed to possess diversity and vitality.
