Five Northglenn streets to undergo resurfacing
Contributed by: City of Northglenn Public Communications on 6/13/2008

Five stretches of road in the City of Northglenn will undergo concrete repair, patching and resurfacing this summer.

The following streets were designated for repair based on the condition of the road and the amount of traffic:

- Croke Drive, between West 104th Avenue and West 100th Avenue
- Irma Drive, between East 120th Avenue and East 112th Avenue
- East 112th Avenue, between Washington Street and the railroad tracks, west of York Street
- Washington Street, between East 120th Ave. and East 104th Avenue
- Community Center Drive, between Grant Street and Huron Street

Preliminary concrete repair and patching have begun on some of these roads. Due to weather and plan changes, road construction schedules are constantly in flux, so a work schedule has not been set. Updates will be sent out as available.

A very conservative estimate has all of these roads finished by early October.

To facilitate construction, single lanes of the roads will typically have to be closed, except for East 112th Avenue, which may be totally shut down for short periods of time.

Combined cost of these projects is $1.9 million. Quality Paving Company of Henderson and A-1 Chip Seal of Broomfield has been hired to do the construction.
