This is Duke again.
I told the whisper-man about my master getting sick and the Nurse lady human taking me home. And you may remember the loud man that lived at her house.
Well I am happy to say that things are working out. I still miss my master but the new family I live with are being trained very well. The Big man human that made so much noise when I first came to the new house has quieted down and now he plays toss and fetch with me which is my favorite game. He also sneaks some food off his plate and gives it to me under the table. He is the only one that will do that.
I get to go for walks with the family and I think they are all looking healthier. My sores have all healed up and I feel great. I found lots of toys in my new house but the humans keep taking them away from me. Now they have put up small doors to keep me from going into the rooms where the toys are. Bummer. I have explored all my new back yard and there are some animals in my trees. They chatter at me and flip their tails at me. They are not very polite.
I am getting used to the noises in my new house and the young man human Trent will let me sleep on his bed with him. The big man human will not. I am teaching the big man human when I want outside. I am teaching him that I whine when I want to go out. He seems to know what I am talking about. He is learning very well.
I am going to once a week training classes for the nurse human to understand my needs and wants. She is too is learning very well. I found another dog across the street with the unlikely name of Fido. What a stupid name. He is 4 times as big as me and should have a name that matches his size. He is also very noisy and barks a lot.
My humans like it when I run to the yard gate and wag my tail when they come home. It takes just little things to make these people happy. But I am being treated well and am happy with my new family. Thank everyone for their good wishes and interest in my welfare.
