Duke Story 4
Well I am still with the family but this week started out bad. The big man human and I were downstairs playing 'tug a war' and I made a bad mistake. I was leaping for the rope and I caught the big man humans hand. He yelled something and got up and ran up stairs. I just knew he was going to come back and hit me. I laid down on the floor and put my paws over my head. I was scared. My old master hit me one time when I bit him. Soon the big man human came back downstairs and turned his black box window on. I could smell blood on his hand and he had some white cloth on it. I licked his hand to tell him I was sorry. He didn't say anything just watched the men on horses run around. I brought my tug rope over to him but he would not play with me anymore. That was a bad day. He didn't tell me 'bad dog' like I thought he would but he was unhappy with me. We dogs can tell by the way humans smell.
A few days later (about 4 suns later) my week improved. The two big humans (big man human that I have found out his name is Sarge, and the nurse lady human that I have found out her name is Linda) have a room for sleeping. I have been in their room because the door is usually open. This time in the morning I was in there and they closed the door. I found behind the door another window. I went to see who lived in that window and what to my surprise, IT WAS MY BROTHER! Yes my twin brother Jake! I haven't seen him since we were puppies! I ran over to the window and put my paws up on it and Jake did the same on his side. I nosed the window and my brother touched noses with me. I danced around I was so happy and Jake was just as happy and he danced around too. I barked a happy bark at him but some of these windows you cannot hear the people on the other side, but I could see that Jake was barking too. My week started out bad but seeing my brother sure made my week end on a happy note. I will write more as soon as all the humans leave the house again. Thank you for reading my stories.
