Duke the Dog # 27

Those other dogs

My man human master, Sarge was looking at his long white paper the other day. The same one he looks at every morning after he eats. But this time he showed it to me. And the paper had pictures on it. He pointed out that there were other dogs in the world that were as smart as me and DOT and they had their pictures in the paper too. They call their pictures "cartoons" and every day in the long white paper they have a new story to tell.

One of the dogs was named Snoopy and I had heared of him before but this was the first time I got to see him. He looks a little like a Breagle like me but he doesn't talk like I do. He has a nice house and his human is a funny looking little boy with a big round head. There are other small humans in his pictures and Snoopy doesn't get to be in every cartoon. Sometimes Snoopy sits up on top of his dog house with a hat on and a clothe hanging around his neck. He has some round things on his face like my master has when he is riding his two wheel thing. Snoopy has some friends too. A bird is sometimes with Snoopy and they talk but I can't understand them, neither can my master. Sometimes Snoopy sits in a tree and has a real funny look on his face. My master said he is pretending to be a vulture. (I don't know what a vulture is)

There are some other animals in the white paper too. One is a big fat cat. He just eats all the time. And he is mean to his friend the Dog. He kicks him off the table all the time. Another cat in the white paper talks in a balloon. He says strange things that make it sound like he is crazy. He is mean to his dog friend too. His name is Get Fuzzy which is a real dumb name. Oh the first cats name is Garfield. There is a dog named Fred Basset and he likes to go for walks like I do. But his master just sits and reads his white paper all the time. One dog gets to ride on a boat, he is Louie and his master is a Pirate. (what ever that is)

There are even some big fish that talk in the white paper. I have seen fish before. They live in a glass house and just float around all day. I have barked at some of the fish but they never said anything. I think the fish in the paper are not real, cause fish can't talk.

We dogs are much smarter than some humans and much smarter than any cat.
