You say it's your birthday!
Contributed by: Jeff Klem on 8/30/2007

Why do I want a suite for me and 11 friends on 9/19?
Let's go back to the beginning...I'm a seven year old in Cleveland, Ohio getting busted by Mom for listening to the Indians game on the radio concealed under my pillow after bedtime (back then Big Daddy was Leon Wagner of the Indians, now it's Matt Holliday for the Rox). Flash forward to arrival in Denver in 1976 amidst a great Denver Broncos season, but alas, no major league baseball. In the early 1990's, I stood on the corner of 92nd and Sheridan, gathering signatures on petitions to get the baseball stadium initiative on the ballot. Then came the season tickets to the Rockies...not great seats, but it was baseball at Mile High and later Coors Field. Economic times erased the season tickets, but we buy the Ladies Night Out package now so we can get to at least 15 games per year.
September 19th I'll be turning 55, my daughter will be here from England and I guarantee 11 others will be there! All I want for my birthday is to beat the Dodgers. God, I hate the Dodgers. And this year it may really matter. My basement is dedicated to the Rockies and Broncos. The felt on my pool table is purple. I'll even wear the Rockies jacket I got in 1992, a year before the team set foot on the field.
So please, please, please....pick me! Because it's my bithday!
