Live Better - Live Large
Contributed by: DR. SEAN REIF D.C. on 5/29/2008

The longest living people in the world never ran marathons, they've never belonged to health clubs. They advocate a healthy vegetable-based diet while abstaining from alcohol.

Go on a walk; garden; play with the children; Avoid eating meat and have a "meat-less diet." Vegetables, fruits, beans, rice, nuts. Try the
Souper Salad on Washington & 120 th. The service is always A+ and the variety and freshness of the salad fixings is at least an A- and open until 9:00 P.M. for those of us that get off work late. Daily specials and coupons in the newspaper make it affordable on "date-night".

Maybe a glass of wine, now and then. Reflect and reconnect with God. Have a purposeful life. Make family a priority and keep friends who share our lifestyle and values.

All of these things are easy, natural, and profoundly effective to improving overall life expectancy and be thinner and feel better, all the way.

Take tea, or dip in a spa. The older and wiser can still chop wood and play guitar if they want.

Humans are aware of our existence, and have the potential to understand and control it. We are self creating creatures. We can choose what we want to be, and choose to be it. Our glory is a self-defining choice; our agony is that we need to make it.
