"Do as I say, and not as I do"
Contributed by: Nancy Pfaff on 4/22/2008

At the council meeting on April 10th, council member Paiz brought up that she had a email from a CPAAAN member proving that CPAAAN was involved in politics, and at the end Paiz said, "was a CPAAAN member"!

The first time I meet council Paiz was at our National night out last year. Paiz was making some chit chat and asked how we like CPAAAN? Responded back, we (my husband) love it and what we have learned to help us in our everyday life. Paiz went on and mention that she has a friend that use to be a CPAAAN member and she is a board member for the (Name taken out) HOA. We now feel that Paiz was not making some kind of friendly chit chat, but to gain some kind of information from. Us.

Council member Baker, your to funny! Arguing that when the President of CPAAAN got up to speak, and said that he never said who and what organization he was speaking for, and he did! I guess you can chalk it up to "Old age" for you. Every council member was at the meeting, except for council member Miller. Council member Wieneke brought this on the agenda with out having any knowledge of the organization.

As I understand Council member Miller wants to be present at the next CPAAAN board meeting and talk to the CPAAAN board members. Why not the council member who started this all? Maybe it is because Wieneke put his foot in his mouth and has no clue on how to get it out, so his side kick is stepping in for him.

This is what I feel I am hearing from some council members, since that special council meeting that took place on Sunday, "DO AS I SAY, AND NOT AS I DO".

By the way, Councilwoman Paiz was correct. I saw the statements she had after the meeting and got a copy of them. Monroe and her husband are working together with her CPAAAN contacts to disrupt this council, and overturn the will of the people. We the people voted for this council, not the one you seem to love so much you can't stop supporting them--even though your residency here has been so short you aren't even aware of how much they cost this community. I'm grateful we have some members who are willing to stop the excess spending in Northglenn.

I love the way you disagree with everything the new council wants to do, and don't even want to give them a chance. You seem to think there is an endless supply of money out there for the council to spend and they should spend it. Obviously you are unaware of how much wasted tax payers dollars the previous council managed to spend and how deeply in debt this city is. We only have about 34 to 37000 people yet we are spending money as if we were as large as Thornton. Since you only bought a housing unit here in '07, you might want to check out the spend thrift positions you are supporting before you dive in so deep and open your mouth so wide to insert your foot!

I was at that meeting; Councilwoman Paiz was simply trying to defend her postion against an unethical attack by Councilwoman Gay Monroe. In fact, the only person I saw who needed to be slapped down is Monroe. Her going to the podium to present her attack on Councilwoman Paiz was outragious!! She is a council member and should not be speaking from the podium and pretending she is just speaking as an average citizan. Her complaint was against the fact that councilwoman Paiz confronted her privately and let her know that we know she and her buddies at CPAAAN are behind the recall talk.

I wonder. Do you suppose Paiz has ever sent derogatory emails about other council members or citizens? Did you hear on the recording how she defended Jom Miller at the April 10 meeting? How do you suppose she would talk about Jim Miller if he were one of her enemies? I suspect like a shark on a feeding frenzy. DO AS I SAY NOT AS I DO.
