I am told quite openly by Highlander Rugby Coach that the purpose of having a Administrative Liaison is to present an Interface with Northglenn City. The policies are supposed to "funnel down" to the departments through the Council and Commissions. I am the Highlander public relation effort, testimonies, and contact person to procure-fields permits for field access in the North area.
The controlling official termed it to be "Closed do to 'too wet for conditions' & 'don't want it get tore up." As were speaking the sun was shining and the wind melting the snow on this mature Colorado sod. Meanwhile I have commitment from (30) Kansas City Gentlemen traveling 750 miles by plane and automobile.
My thoughts were that by addressing the issues and the probability of a "Perfect 'March' Storm" and procuring reservations, 'PAID' permits fees, might avoid such hurdles. It is 'bad bureaucracy' to have departments bickering with the public.
Some differences of opinion have been aired publicly, as in the ways of the Wyco Park and Windburn Park permit process is attributable to weakness of the Parks & Recreation Department. I advocate a budget cut to the Parks Department. I recommend a firing of the dissenters for being 'out- of- line' within the policies.
This internal 'Power-Trip' has got to STOP.
I am a vocal adherent of the "local control" in decision making that pervades Colorado philosophy. This is an example of "the tail, wagging the dog."
My stated purpose is to coordinate project activities that affect the priorities and the environment.
