Letter to the editor: Northglenn's progress
Contributed by: Diana Jewett on 4/25/2007

Did you know that in the past few years Broomfield, North Boulder,
Littleton, and Erie have built new recreation centers or updated the ones
they have?

I am excited to be talking about plans to modernize our structure. The
present center costs a lot to maintain as problems arise and more room is
needed. I encourage you, as citizens, to get behind this project and write a
short note about how you feel about it to "The City of Northglenn, 11701
Community Circle Drive, Northglenn, CO 80233, Attn:Mayor & Council (Include
your ward number if you know it) so the city officials know whether we
support their efforts.

I enjoy the camaraderie, line dancing, special lunches, travel films, movies,
classes, trips, paddle boat races, and other activities the senior center
offers. I would really miss them if they weren't available.

I see many young children brought by their parents for their activities and
teenagers practicing theater plays which they act out for the adults and
others among the many activities available. I'm sending this to the City;
what will you send them?

I hope the future holds lots of fun and good health for all of us.

Diana Jewett
Northglenn

And don't forget that a more modern community center will attract sports events from all over the metro area, which will help pay for the upgrade. Leonard Avery
