The Second Annual Northglenn Paint The Town 5K Run/Walk will be on August 26th, in association with Northglenn All About Art Festival, Wild & Wacky. The race is now less than two weeks away so please register as soon as possible to assure yourself of an event t-shirt.
Registrations forms are available at Atlanta Bread who is also going to furnish all the runners and walkers with the same great breakfast after the race as last year but knowing Sheila and Joe it will be even more awesome. Forms are also available at the Northglenn Recreation Center, Saxby's Coffee, Liberty Savings Bank, Krispy Kream, Boardwalk Pizza,
Vitamin Shoppe, Supper Solutions and online at: www.active.com.
Additional information can be obtained by calling the following: the Northglenn Recreation Center at 303.450.8800, Tommy or Marty Follett at 303.452.0378 or Jerry Gavette at 303.451.9017.
The Citizen Police Academy Alumni Assn. of Northglenn (CPAAAN) and the Northglenn Community Foundation organized the race again this year. Both organizations will use the funds from the race to assist families in the City of Northglenn as well as community projects in conjunction with the Northglenn Police Department.
We would like to commend the following CPAAAN members Virgil Hall, Cheryl and Rick Crandall, George Reichert, John Monroe, Mary Davis, Ross Bruny, Nancy and Kory Pfaff, Rich and Bev Strand and Joe Brown as well as Jerry Gavette of the Northglenn Community Foundation for all their hard work in making this the best race yet. Steven Stokes the City Event Planner and Northglenn Police Office Rick Kellogg have also been instrumental in helping to make this race happen. Also very special thanks to my marvelous wife Marty who makes it all happen behind the scenes. Note Virgil Hall was responsible for getting the course certified last year for the next ten years.
They have all spent countless hours in the planning, details and organization to get the 5KRun/Walk ready to go and will spend countless more hours to make this the finest second annual event in Northglenn.
