I really believe if you are going to accomplish anything of significant magnitude, there will be risks involved and that you have to be willing to accept the challenge, an the risks, if you are going to accomplish anything significant.
In that light, I MAKE A MOTION FOR A SPECIAL SESSION.
We can have a special session in the 5 th Tuesday here at Northglenn City Council chambers 7:00 when we can meet. I think the Planning Commission is a tremendous institution. We are a good group of honest lay people who get together to dedicate ourselves to the public policies of this City.
Very seldom do we get the luxury to sit down and look at individual isolated issues and hash out merits or demerits of those issues especially if they are extremely complex. I believe a special session is a great tool to allow the Planning Commission to focus on a few issues. It allows us to isolate those issues and concentrate on them. And as we speak, reports are sitting on shelves, gathering dust, about infrastructure, about how this City can change its policies in relation to land development and its economic future.
It all starts here at the Planning Commission.
Together, we must make Northglenn a place where anyone who is willing to roll up their sleeves and work hard can buy a home, raise a family, get an education, start a business, and enjoy all the good things that life in Northglenn has to offer.
Yes, Northglenn is filled with opportunity . . . And filled with determined people ready to seize it. Now, lets get to work.

Many communities and neighborhoods are aspiring to greater heights with higher densities, high quality design, and broad ranges of culture and amenities. Northglenn and surrounding neighborhoods are evolving into this pattern, as many Homesteads have abandoned yard and maintenance duties for the convenience of town homes.
