The belief that older, traditional ways of doing things are usually better than newer, less- proven ways. As customs have been tried and tested over many years, their success has been proven. We prefer gradual, small scale change to rapid, radical change. Large amounts of change over short periods of time can have unpredictable and often devastating consequences for society. I also favor free- market capitalism and religion.

Every man wants for himself and his family a house with neighbors close enough to be found if needed, or if one feels like making a social call, yet far enough to be avoided at other times.
