In response to James Miller from my post 3/28/08
Contributed by: Nancy Pfaff on 4/2/2008

I see no point in arguing this issue, the court documents which are public record prove the situation, no matter who says what and when. The newspaper articles are accurate and reflect the reporter's story of the proceedings since he was there. A little research on the internet reveals all.

You've exposed the victim yourself in your comments, no one said anything about "her or her children". Your behavior is typical of those who commit domestic violence, it's always the fault of the other person. By the way, I take NO shame in reminding the citizens of Northglenn that they are represented in Ward 1 by a person who has broken the law, has pled guilty and has a deferred sentence. I say shame on YOU for not holding yourself to a higher standard as an elected official, now or in the past.

I recently received an email under the address goodguy@fastmail.net Others who speak out in our city have received threatening emails from this same person. To quote from the email: "you are placing yourself at great risk of civil repercussion for harassment". To my knowledge, elected officials cannot file such accusations toward citizens, it goes with the territory. To go on: "Don't worry about the VALE board. You've made sure that you will never sever (misspelled) on any city group in the future" I'm insulted by this attempt to muzzle my voice or the situation that DID occur, no matter how long ago, and how much you'd like to revise history to make yourself look like a nice guy. A threat to not appoint me to any volunteer position in the city can only be thrown from a member of Council who has authority to appoint citizens to boards. I will accuse Council or James Miller himself of retaliation toward citizens who speak out, which I have only read about in countries with dictatorships. Last time I looked, this is America. You didn't go to jail. Take your medicine like a man. The people have long memories and are still upset that you didn't resign when you should have.

Lady you deserve to be muzzled. What a low life you must be to believe anyone thinks your attack on Councilman Miller is anything but politically motivated. What a sad commentary for someone who hopes to advance her political agenda through articles loaded with hate. To hide behind the fact that domestic violence is wide spread in this country is poor reasoning for a member of this community, who is still paying his dues for this incident, to be harassed by you or anyone else. You obviously never bothered to get both sides of the story—how despicable can you get!

Nancy, I have always accepted fault for my actions in the incident. I could have done much better in how I responded to what I was confronted with. You are correct in that I should not have said anything about “children” but I had always seen them as one in the same, one family. Media exposure is the same with Internet access today and you continue to expose them. My medicine had been dealt, taken and paid for again and again. I do not condone any e-mail that may or may not have been sent to you as I do not stand behind false names and this is why I responded publicly to you. Furthermore, perhaps you should read the last paragraph in the articles you post before you post half-truths. What did the DA say? What did he say about threats? Anyone can say anything but where is it really when someone else reviews it. Maybe you should be going out of state to contact ex-wife’s of people you trying to protect in city government. Would you take the same stand? Wake up!
