Who would think that a quarterback best known as "Jake the Snake" would lead a football team so commanding as to deserve a spot in Super Bowl XL. This team has been hard-pressed to find recognition this year. They didn't care, under the radar they crept like a thief in the night. They played good teams, great teams and poor teams as if this was their last game. They picked off a team that had been deemed the new "Dynasty" as if stealing candy from a baby. Yet they were humble when they lost. They didn't blame thier coach or their teammates as so many of the other NFL players do. They came in and watched film and asked "What can we do better?" Suddenly a team that was forever in the shadow of Elway emerged. It showed itself in bright glimpses of sunlight, a team that was not all about the me instead it was all about the we. It started the season as 53 individual players it ended as 1 cohesive unit. One player would get hurt or sick there was another to come in. A "Snake" didn't lead this team a man did with lots of help from his friends. The "snake" slithered out of his skin and started becoming something else, something more, something magical. The defense started gelling together so you didn't know where Wilson stopped and Myers began. You had Bailey making amazing catches, of course I don't think the other quarterbacks think so! The defense put so much pressure on the quaterbacks they probably woke up for three nights afterward still trying to get away. We had a passing and running game that made sense again and kept the other defenses confused. This team doesn't just deserve to be the AFC Champions but Super Bowl Champions as well!
