SAN DIEGO - Northglenn High School alum
Jimmie Kaylor
was selected to the preseason all-Mountain West Conference team as a punter for Colorado State, as announced July 17 at the Mountain West Conference Media Blitz.
Kaylor was named first-team all conference after the 2005 season when he averaged 45.2 yards per punt as a sophomore.
He also had 12 punts inside the opponents' 20-yard line. He is a third-team preseason All-American by Athlon Sports and was named to the preseason all-conference teams by both Athlon Sports, Lindy's and Blue Ribbon College Football Yearbook as well as the 10th best punter in the nation by Lindy's.
The Rams were picked to finish fourth in the conference this season, receiving one first place vote. TCU was picked to repeat as league champs, followed by Brigham Young and Utah.
