Community Christian topples Aurora Christian

In hard-fought and heated battle, the Community Christian Crusaders rallied from a big first quarter deficit to beat Aurora Christian 57-51.

Senior Matt Cokewell scored 18 points and pulled down 17 rebounds while junior Anthony Perkins had 26 points and 12 rebounds for the taller Crusaders (9-1) against the Blue Angels (5-5).

Northglenn-based Community Christian hosts Shining Mountain and Aurora Christian stays home to play Silver State, with both games at 7 p.m. Jan. 20.
