Consul General of Mexico to speak in Northglenn

 The Adams County Chapter of the Republican National Hispanic Assembly (RNHA) will hold it's monthly meeting on , Feb. 21, at 7 P.M.. The group will meet at the Northglenn Recreation Center located at 11801 Community Center Drive. (First intersection east of I-25 on 120th Ave.)

The invited guest speaker will be the Honorable Juan Marcos Gutierrez, Consul General of Mexico. The topic of his presentation will be the current immigration issue to be followed by a question and answer session. Gutierrez was appointed Consul General in Denver on Feb. 11.

After receiving his law degree, Consul Gutierrez served as City Attorney and General Secretary for the border city of Tijuana. He holds a law degree from the autonomous University of Baja California where he is a professor of constitutional law. He has also taught constitutional law at several other universities through out Mexico.

Consul Gutierrez has written numerous articles for legal publication that focus on Federalism and Fiscal Law. He has also been recognized by the legal publication "Fiscal Defense" as one of the most important "Fiscal Lawyers" of Mexico in 2003 and 2004.

The RNHA meeting is open to the public at the regular cost of $5 and further information may be obtained by calling 303-457-8676.
