It's Phonebook Recycling Time in Thornton!
Contributed by: City of Northglenn on 12/26/2006

THORNTON, CO... Don't throw out your old phone book when the new one arrives on your doorstep -recycle it. Old phone books can be recycled at two drop off locations in the north metro area from December 29 through February 13. Look for the white bins with Northglenn and Thornton banners in the parking lot of these locations:

  • Northglenn Safeway - Malley Drive & Washington Street
  • Thornton Super K-Mart - 104th Avenue & Marion Street

The program coincides with the delivery of the new Qwest directories. The City of Thornton begins 'one container recycling' in January, so this will be Thornton's final phone book drop off program. In the future, City of Thornton trash/recycle customers can recycle their phone books curbside with their monthly recycling pick-up.

This phone book recycling program is jointly sponsored by the cities of Thornton and Northglenn.
