January 6, 2007 kicks off the official Mardi Gras season and ends at midnight on February 20th, followed by Ash Wednesday and 40 days of Lent.
To celebrate this annual event, The "Krewe of Renard Roux", (red fox) will host it's first-annual Mardi Gras Ball on Monday evening, February 12, 2007.
The Ball will be held at the 'Crystal Rose', 8351 South Park Lane (off County Line Rd., Highlands Ranch).
The fun begins at 6 pm with a cocktail hour, cash barand appetizers. A full, sit-down, traditional Southern, Mardi Gras dinner will be served at 7 pm.
Everyone that attends will be eligible for the Royal Court. The drawing will be held at 8 pm. The King, Queen, Maids and Dukes will be crowned, receive gifts and favors, toasted by the Krewe and reign for one year.
Professional entertainment will be by "Shelvis" and the Emcee is Chuck Pearson of Mobile Entertainment.
Door prizes will be awarded all night long, favors will be given to everyone, dancing until 1 am and a "Twist" contest and costume contest will be held with prizes for the lucky winners.
The theme is "The Swinging Sixties". Everyone is encouraged to come as your favorite performer of that era from TV, the movies or music industry. If you want, just dig out your old 'go go boots', 'hot pants', 'mini dress', 'fur' vest or
'Nehru' jacket and accessorize! We expect characters from "Laugh-In", "Hullabaloo" and "The Dean Martin Show".
Ladies, you may wear cocktail dresses and Gents, you may wear suits. Either way, we guarantee an evening you will not soon forget!
A limited number of tickets are available and can be purchased from Krewe Co-ordinator, Margaret Strnad of Parker. E-Mail the Krewe for tickets,

.
We will reserve tables of eight and business card size ads are available in our
programs.
