Blog Entry 60 of 196 Dial 'T' for Tabitha
I'm a bicycling poet who lived in Parker for several years and worked at YourHub.com, covering Parker and Franktown for two years.

I am studying poetry at CSU in the Master of Fine Arts program ...

I hope you can post a comment or two and that you will enjoy my blogs.

Body of art bares all

Editor's note: Much of this blog entry has been lifted from a post card the blogger wrote to her friend Julie.

Not to be mistaken for Ringo, my favorite Beatle, The Ringman was my favorite part of the Body Worlds 2 exhibit at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, which I saw with Alexand my friend Molly on July 11.

All the bodies in the exhibit are created from real human bodies. Check out his hands. I think his nose and the backs of his feet were my favorite discoveries.

Can you imaginebuying the hoops and rope to hang him up? What an errand.

The store clerk asks if you need help.

"Yeah," you answer. "I need some stuff to hang up a dead guy."

Body Worlds 2was very interesting. And Molly had to suffer my bad puns-- "That's so unnerving," I said at the first display that showed the human nervous system.

I've forgotten my other bad puns (lucky you!) and Ithought of other ones after the exhibit. I also wrote a haiku in the guest book at the end.
The haiku was a little better than the puns.

If you have time, you can still catch the exhibit, though it's not cheap at $22 for an adult ticket if you're not a museum member. The exhibit's open through July 23 and the hours for Body Worlds 2 have been extended so that you can start viewing it at 10:30 in the evening some nights. We were there for two hours and it closes at midnight.

Check the museum's sitefor details and plan ahead to get tickets.

Bill, a Ringman blog would be really fun. Rob, I hear ya... it was a bit "unnerving" going to the exhibit. And Steve, thanks for the pun.

I feel a blog from the perspective of ringman coming on.

I gotta tell you, I had NO desire to see that exhibit. Anatomy in a book? Fine. Anatomy all strung out in front of me in all its gory detail? YOWSA! Thanks for the blog, though. I'm glad on this one you were our, ahem, eyes and ears.

How about, "What was your favorite part?"
