Blog Entry 103 of 196 Dial 'T' for Tabitha
I'm a bicycling poet who lived in Parker for several years and worked at YourHub.com, covering Parker and Franktown for two years.

I am studying poetry at CSU in the Master of Fine Arts program ...

I hope you can post a comment or two and that you will enjoy my blogs.

Is there art in that head?

In case you haven't noticed, I tend to get pretty excited about various things at various times.

Lately I have been interested in graphic arts and drawing.

I have to, in large part, blame this site by Danny Gregory and the accompanying yahoo groupand www.stumbleupon.com for all my gawking lately at artwork.

And that visit to Chicagohelped heaps, too.

Danny Gregory's latest book challenges readers to draw four objects without judging them: a chair, a mug, something I forgot and a person.

My attempts at this, back in June, are appalling.

But I love art. I want to be good at it. If you have similar struggles (Want to make pottery? Bake cakes? Throw the meanest curveball this side of Cherry Creek?), please let us know by posting a story. Someone reading it might be able to offer help.

Enjoy, please, my assemblage of images. Then please post your own(if you aren't an artist, we'd love to know what your favorite photos and paintings are-- go for it).

I would love to help you post-- contact me at dialt@yourhub.com or 303-954-2362.

Thanks for the read.

Truly, Bill, they do.

I believe my blog renderings speak for themselves.

Painting and the like were never much on my radar...I took a drawing class in college (mostly charcoals), which was fun. Except for the part where we had nude models, male and female, and the female turned out to the campus nutjob, who also happened to be someone you definitely did not need to see sans clothing. Whatever you do, the only advice I have in regard to delving deeper into painting is this: don't cut off your ear.
