I have to confess I looked forward to seeing Eagle Scout
Michael Reed at Boy Scout Troop 88's Christmas party on Dec. 12 because his mother,
Cathleen Reed, had
posted a story to
YourHub.com asking for bicycle donations. Michael was hoping for 50 bicycles in November. At the party, Michael announced that130 were donated to his Eagle Scout project. Children at
Praying Hands Ranch had an outstanding time picking out their own bicycles, according to Cathleen.
Other highlights from the party include the food (those Troop members and parents now how to cook and bake!), seeing troop membersin the venturing crew make homemade rootbeer (a Troop 88 tradition), seeing two Santas help disperse gifts to Scouts and getting to watch Scouts pick out and open their gifts.
Thanks, Troop 88, for letting me share in the festivities. I hope you'll post
your stories and photos soon. Contact me at
