Blog Entry 90 of 91 The Happening

Steve Shultz here. I am a YourHub.com staff journalist based in Douglas County. I used to write a lot of news stories for the weekly print editions for Highlands Ranch, Castle Rock and Parker, but now I'm mainly focused on the layout and design of said newspapers. In between putting your great stories, blogs, photos and events into the print editions, I will blog about some of the stand-out submissions I see on the Douglas County Web sites –- Highlands Ranch, Castle Rock, Parker, Lone Tree, Castle Pines, Roxborough and Franktown –- and any other topic that piques my interest. If you’re new to YourHub.com, I encourage you to sign up and start your own blog. If you have any story ideas in your community you’d like to share, send me an e-mail. And drop me a comment in the comment box –- bloggers feed off feedback.

Best of 2008: Parker Police blotter

It's been another great year here at YourHub.com. We will be publishing our "Best of 2008" print editions on Jan. 1. The newspapers will be stuffed with the staff's favorite stories, blogs, columns, photos and police blotter from throughout the year. With the exception of a new staff-written story or two on page 4 and new events on the calendar page, everything in the paper will be YourHub.com user-submitted content from 2008.

Without further ado, here is our collection of the best Parker Police blotter reports from 2008, chosen by yours truly and Anna Haislip. We've got the best burglaries, the best public displays of intoxication and the quirkiest crimes. My personal No. 1 choice here would have to be the one where the "sober party" called to pick up an intoxicated woman at the police department shows up drunk.

Oh yeah, I better not forget our disclaimer: YourHub.com collected these reports from area police and sheriff agencies. All parties are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.And don't forget to click here to read the best Douglas County Sheriff's Office blotter reports from the year.

Parker police.... where to begin, they are all liars and look for any reason to arrest civilians or even just pull them over. I have been targeted by parker police many times, they have pulled me over for looking at the new corvette at BURT Chevy, they have pulled me over for "changing lanes too many times" even though i had used my blinker every time and all the changes were necessary, they have pulled me over for "driving recklessly according to a 911 call" my "reckless driving" was simply accelerating to move away from a semi who was coming into my lane about to crush me. They have attempted to pursue felony charges for bringing my mothers prescription to her, and have failed due to my mother knowing of the incident. They all must be very bored to have 3 cop cars pull over 1 car for looking at a car that was for sale. Please note, I have kept this post very clean, it is not abusive just very negative do not flag me, let the world see what Parker police is all about.
