Blog Entry 295 of 298 Average Joe. Not.
I was born, therefore I blog. I have a sense of the ridiculous and need an outlet for that. I can be serious too and love to write little stories about little known but important people and events. And I love wildlife and travel and will always try to share those experiences. I make things up (it's called fiction) and am amused when readers are duped into believing they are true.

Parker people

The weekend ParkerFest events being held in Old Town Parker throughout the summer offer a lot of attractions for the whole family. Taking a walk down Mainstreet and along Pike Pikes Drive on Sunday, May 24, I took photos of a number of entertainers, cooking demos and kids having a great time.

Photo 1. 8 Year old Carter Washburn had a blast on the trampoline/bungee attraction while his mom Jo Ann Washburn, looked on. Several inflatable rides and slides were offered by Blue Dragon Amusements.

Photo 2. Madison Hutchinson (2-1/2) rode a pony provided by Happy Trails who also offered rides in a horse drawn trailer. Madison's mom Susan saysher daughterloves horses so this was a big treat for her.

Photo 3. Well known Colorado artist Ash Ganley provided easy listening music with the vocal harmonies of his sister Adrian. For more information go to www.ashganley.com.

Photo 4. J.R. Carter was back with his amazing juggling displays and balancing act. There always seemed to be a crowd of spectators when J.R. was performing.

Photo 5. Emily Coffee serves up fresh Italian food prepared at the Chef's Demo tent on the corner of Pikes Peaks Drive and Mainstreet, Parker.

Photo. 6. To promote the recent opening of Gaspare's Bakery and the imminent opening of Gaspare's Italian Diner, Master Chef Gaspare Licata (pictured here)and business co-owner Paula Coffee attracted crowds to their Chef Demo tent on the corner of Mainstreet and Pikes Peak Drive. Gaspare's is located in the Victorian Peaks Building on Pikes Peak Drive, Old Town Parker.

The Downtown Development Council of Old Town Parker and its member businesses have financed, sponsored and organized these events for the enjoyment of Parker Residents.
