Seventh anniversary of the Columbine shootings

It's not hard for me to remember the date of the tragedy thatoccurred at Columbine High School in Littleton seven years ago tomorrow.

My parents and I were returning from a visit with family in Colorado Springs four days before, when we were caught in a snow storm and lost control of our vehicle on Highway 83 and-- well, let's just say I still felt like a ghost when news of the shootings came out.

It seems that today, some seven years after the event, people continue to take comments about Columbine seriously. I can totally understand that.

We have a story on our Highlands Ranch site, called Teens, Highlands Ranch a bore?in which someone is said to have the opinion that Dylan and Klebold, the students who commited the murders at Columbine High School, became violent because they were bored teenagers.

The story as a whole surveys various teens about the lifestyle offered to teenagers in Highlands Ranch.I think italso inspires questions about drugs, alcohol, violence, crime and their possible connection to teenagers who are "bored."

It's my hope that you, dear reader, will share your opinion in the comments box below or at the story itself, which was posted by ThunderRidge High School student Mitchell Woll. And maybe you don't have a comment. I can understand that, too.

Thanks for the read.
