Blog Entry 62 of 196 Dial 'T' for Tabitha
I'm a bicycling poet who lived in Parker for several years and worked at YourHub.com, covering Parker and Franktown for two years.

I am studying poetry at CSU in the Master of Fine Arts program ...

I hope you can post a comment or two and that you will enjoy my blogs.

All moved out-- well, just about...

Coming up Interstate 25, leading my brother and my father in a three-SUV-caravan to my first apartment, I started to jump for joy(as much as one can, safely, while driving a Jeep Liberty) and laugh and clap my hands-- moving day, May 30, was one of the happiest days of my life.

I drove down to my parents' home in Parker to pick up various furniture items-- including the first dresser and vanity my grandparents ever owned together and the kitchen table and chairs that I grew up with in Grand Junction, Colo.

After an hour or so of locating the furniture and safely packing it in my brother's Ford Explorer and my father's Ford Expedition, we trekked up to Denver to my new home, less than ten minutes by bicycle to YourHub.com World Headquarters.

Was everything in the apartment by 3 p.m.? By 2? I don't really remember... but it all seemed to happen quickly, with Alex and his father moving in items of furniture before we came up ...

A couple plants, like the famed plant called Dot, still need to make their way from Alex's parents', along with acouple winter coats and some other clothes.

Other than that... it's just unpacking and organizing...

And then inviting people over to celebrate. I think we've done alright for our first place, don't you?

Awesome. I can't wait until I move out of my mom's house and...ahem, start being an adult. But until then, I'll relish my mom making me sandwiches, thank you. :)

Steve, the neighbors are great, so far... it's nice and quiet here! ... William, I think all the people in my life are rather cool, and names like Fairlight and Manfred are just extra special bonuses. There's something about names-- I've loved every Ruth and Sharon I've met...

I think it's cool that you know people named both Fairlight and Manfred.

Nice pad! How are the neighbors?

Congrats on apartment. I am excited for you. Hope you get settled in just fine. Jumping for joy while driving is a little better than raving along to music. You can get some odd looks from other drivers when raving while waiting at toll booths on the interstate.

When can we expect our invitations?

Moving is the worst. But your first apartment is the best.
