I love two things (among thousands):
Harry Potter and my
friend, Julie. She also loves Harry Potter. In fact, I refused to
give ol' Harry a chance until I visited her when she lived in
Bavaria, Germany, and we watched the first film on DVD together.
Then I had to read the books. And fell in love with
Ron Weasley's character.
Today I saw an e-mail from Julie-- what she called a public
service announcement about the newest Harry Potter DVD.
She said that consumers of
The Goblet of Fire
DVD should not buy the 2-disc SceneIt special edition she
purchased by mistake.
"The Scene-It version is pointless, especially considering
that it was $3 more than the regular version. It has an HBO 'making
of" video that I had already seen on TV and a pointless sample
version of the SceneIt board game.
That's it."
She said that she found out online that the DVD set with the
genuine special features comes in a silver box. She was able to
return her SceneIt special edition without any trouble.
"I don't know how many other people will be as fortunate if
they buy the wrong DVD, so I'm warning everyone to be careful which
version you buy beforehand," she wrote.
"Harry Potter rules!" she concluded.
And, actually, you rule, Julie! As Harry Potter enters his
seventh year at Hogwarts when
J.K. Rowling's next Potter
book comes out, we'll have been friends for ten or eleven years.
Wow. I thank you for that, dear Julie.
Do you, dear reader, have a thing for the Harry Potter
stories? Please
share your love for the books
and tell us any traditions you have for reading them and waiting
for the final installment.
I highly recommend that J.K. Rowling link up there. It's a
site where you can spend plenty of time!
Thanks for the read.... and yes oh yes, Harry Potter
rules!
