When my friends at
Ghost Road Presse-mailed me about a grand opening poetry reading at
the new Tattered Cover location(the "theatre of ideas"), I knew I was going. Down Colfax Avenue.
My friend
Xena met me there last night and, I don't mean to gush, but well, when I was visiting the store for the first time and waiting for her, I kept thinking about you.
Yeah, you dear readers.
How I wanted to portray the new location was one thing, but the main reason I thought about you was because of posts like
Rob Guthrie's blog about magnetic poetry. I was on a mission to find a magnetic poetry calendar after following a link on that entry.
I didn't find one, but I did see Sudoku represented far and wide, which made me think of
Joe McDaniel and Sudoku.
I'll let my pictures tell the story about the poetry reading.
This new store might be a favorite new location. It's a fun space andI think I will try to make every "Second Monday Poetry Reading" they host. (Next month, my friend
Chris Ransickwill be reading from his latest collection.)
