I have been so busy lately that it's been difficult to get anything on my schedule to completion.
There have been times I have driven morning carpool in my gym clothes, and run the afternoon carpool...still in my gym clothes. Gross.
One thing I haven't forsaken off my schedule regardless how busy it is-my coffee.
So imagine my excitement when I found "The Coffee Mom's Devotional." The author,
Celeste Palermo, doesn't just get my nutsy, busy, coffee loving lifestyle-she has one too!
The Coffee Mom's Devotional is filled with entertaining real life stories and spiritual thoughts to ponder, all orbiting the cup of coffee which we moms can relate to. Have you ever balanced your Starbucks, a baby on the hip and a toddler in fist? How about dropping one of your personals on the shoe of the man behind you because you were scraping the bottom of your purse for change to pay for your java?
Maybe you have never had the pleasure of experiencing any of those, but through the coffee shop devotional you will meet women who have. If they have time to reflect on the connection between coffee and God, I'll venture to guess that you do too. Besides, you don't have to read the entire book in one sitting to get the benefit.
It is also a huge caffeine free perk that the author, Celeste Palermo, is a local author. She is one of the creative gems of Douglas County who is enjoyed the nation over. Knowing that most of these stories really happened in a coffee shop near you, really ties together the elements.
So if you need a recommendation of what to get for mom, or yourself: try The Coffee Mom's Devotional.
Cheers!
