Blog Entry 105 of 196 Dial 'T' for Tabitha
I'm a bicycling poet who lived in Parker for several years and worked at YourHub.com, covering Parker and Franktown for two years.

I am studying poetry at CSU in the Master of Fine Arts program ...

I hope you can post a comment or two and that you will enjoy my blogs.

YourHub.com staff member posts her own poem

I've been a member of the online community longer than I have officially declared myself a poet. That's approximately eight years and three years, respectively.

Never have I posted one of my own poems online.

But when I shared a poem by Elaine Christensen in my last blog entry, blogger Rob Guthrie moved that I post one of my own poems. Reine Stuart seconded.

So, alright, I will share one, courtesy of the Colorado Poets Association(To read more of my poems, visit my page at the Colorado Poets Association Web site):

Just Touching

But it wasn't me.
it was the outer woman
that he had to examine--
"How long is your hair now?"--
knowing I would lean across the table
so that he could measure it with his hands.

"Let me see your rings."
And I suspended my arms above our empty plates,
spread my fingers until he felt the roots of each one.

How beautiful! I envy your command of the language we claim to speak, and most often do so very poorly. You've started an insatiable addiction, now I just need more! Merci.

Poignant poem, Tabitha! I'd love to see more of your work, along with other users.

I love this poem, Tabitha. I can see why it won! Hopefully this won't be the last we see of your verse...thank you for sharing.

Art flowing freely, Listen to the muse whisper, Delightful meter.

Ha ha. Thank you, John.

Hey, do you think we can use this as a Parker milestone? Good poem, by the way.
