This morning, while roaming some of my favorite spots on the Internet, I discovered that
The Guardian recently looked at the work spaces of six different authors. You can check it out
here.
I was lead to that study of authors' studies, if you will, by
this literary blog entry.
"Chaos comforts me," writes
Matthew Cheney, author of the
Mumpsimus blog that opened my eyes to my work space this morning. "I know that just about anything I need is probably buried in a pile somewhere around me. I'm good with piles. I understand their logic."
I agree with Cheney, though it may not be that evident in the photos I took this morning of my home writing space -- since I share the space with my boyfriend
Alex, I often find myself removing piles or parts of piles every couple days or so.
And, as Cheney does, I also hope that other writers will begin posting photos of where they work. And if you are an artist or musician or dancer, we'd love to see where you make your magic happen --
post your photos(and then, please, send me you link so that I can lead readers to your posts).
