The championship fathering commitment

By now I hope you have heard about the upcoming Fatherhood Rallies that will take place in D.C., Denver and other cities across the nation. The morning of June 20 in Denver is shaping up to be a great time of celebration and fun! Follow this link to RSVP. Regardless of where you spend the Saturday before Father's Day, I encourage you to pledge your commitment with other men across the nation to be the kind of man our children need you to be.

Children thrive when they have a positively engaged father in their life - someone who loves them, knows them, guides them, and helps them achieve their destiny.

The National Center for Fathering is championing the cause to change the future for America's children by calling fathers and father figures to be the engaged and involved fathers their children need. They are hoping to see 6.5 million fathers - 10% of all the dads in America - make a commitment to meet the needs of their children by Loving, Coaching, and Modeling. And because fathering extends beyond biological children, they are urging men to also Encourage the unfathered children they know and Enlist other dads to the Championship Fathering Team.

I urge you to join me in making this pledge and take the steps necessaryto write it on the hearts of our children. Go to the National Center for Fathering Website and register your commitment . . . more importantly choose to do and say something today that will communicate your commitment to your kids!
