(12/5/06) The Lions boys varsity team passed their first road test of the year Tuesday night when they traveled to Colorado Springs School and came home with a 68-39 victory. Lutheran's pressure defense proved to be too much for the Kodiaks who committed 27 turnovers. Balanced scoring and FT shooting (15/19) led the offensive attack for the Lions who also racked up 18 assists. Nine of the 10 players scored for Lutheran lead by Kolt O'Kelly's 12. Jose Nunez scored all 11 of his points coming off the bench in the second half.
The Lions boys JV teamopened their seasonTuesday night against Colorado Springs School's JV, and came away with a 40-15 victory. The Lions' half court trapping press resulted in a number of steals early in the game, setting the tone for a resounding victory. The JV Lions were led by co-captain Hugh Rowe's 12 point and 7 steals.
