Ok, so I haven't actually played a single hole of "grown-up"
golf.
But I
did go to a driving range in Centennial this past
Saturday with my father, who helped me learn to swing a "grown-up"
driver,9 iron and wedge-- oh, not just
any driver, 9 iron and wedge, but ones from a set of
clubs my granddad used during his life.
Golfing is one of 15 items on my "Things Tabitha wants to do"
list. And it's the fourth one I am crossing off.
The first item to go was
skiing,
followed by
helping
outwith
Art from
Ashes. After that came
getting my
palm read. Other things I want todo include acupuncture,
playing miniature golf with my brother and going to the Renaissance
Faire this summer with my brother.
Oh, I'll get to all 15 items!
What did I learn this weekend? Well, golfing takes a lot more
physical effort than I ever imagined. My back hurt, I felt a bit
awkward and I missed the ball about 30 percent of the time. But Dad
thought I did well.
I also learned my Dad's a good golfer (I already knew he was
a good photographer-- he took photos of me in action)!
And I have also learned that shorter golf clubs would
help...
