Average Joe. Not.
I was born, therefore I blog. I have a sense of the ridiculous and need an outlet for that. I can be serious too and love to write little stories about little known but important people and events. And I love wildlife and travel and will always try to share those experiences. I make things up (its called fiction) and am amused when readers are duped into believing they are true.

Nancy Atchley
lives in the Hidden River II subdivision of Parker where she is surrounded by sneaky neighbors. She and husband Ben were founding members of the Sundowners social group which has been getting together every Thursday evening for eight years. There are eight couples currently active in the group.
Last Thursday evening, Nan and Ben arrived at Sundowners as usual. Nan had prepared her customary appetizer. Little did she suspect the trap that had been cunningly laid by her husband Ben and co-conspirator

. Her many friends greeted her with a boisterous Happy Birthday serenade with musical accompaniment on the guitar by
Ed Clayton
. Balloons and cake added to the affair. Dinner had been ordered in. It was a total surprise, orchestrated with military precision. The genuine look of shock and amazement on Nan's face told the story.
The party continued until late (9:15 p.m.) with rowdy games of chicken foot.
The problem with having good friends is that they may, from time to time, surprise you. Because Nancy Atchley is a good friend to so many, she will certainly have many more well deserved surprises coming.
