Average Joe. Not.
I was born, therefore I blog. I have a sense of the ridiculous and need an outlet for that. I can be serious too and love to write little stories about little known but important people and events. And I love wildlife and travel and will always try to share those experiences. I make things up (its called fiction) and am amused when readers are duped into believing they are true.

Laura Reish of Parker posted a terrific article about her friend Zach Hodge who is surving in Iraq. It is titled "My brother, a hero in his own right."
Her heartwarming story should remind us all how little things that we can do to show our support for our troops can be so very important to those individuals.
YourHub.com is a window on our community. Servicemen and women overseas who's homes are here would certainly enjoy being able to sign in to YourHub.com to keep up to date on events at home.
If you have the email address of military personnel serving anywhere overseas, send them a link. It would be interesting to get their stories and blogs in return. If they are able to post stories we might get first hand accounts of their lives away from home.
The internet gives us an opportunity to spread our community beyond the borders of Parker, or of Colorado.
