Hey guys. I'm Lauren and I'm a 9th grader at Ponderosa. I'm into theatre, piano, dance, and I run Cross Country and Track. I also like photography and I kind of like making movies too. Yep... that's pretty much it!

Last weekend was an exciting one. First I had a Cross Country meet on Friday. I got a really good time, 22 minutes and 40 seconds, which is a personal record for me.
After that I went over to my friend Vicki's house along with Elyse, Carly, Josie, Hannah and Heather. That night we just hung out and watched movies.
The next day was the day of the Homecoming dance! We watched more movies that morning and some of us tie-dyed t-shirts. Later on we got ready for Homecoming. My friend Jordan came over that morning to get ready with us. We did each others hair and make-up and got into our dresses. My mom made my dress, and I really liked it.Some of our parents, including my own, came over and took pictures of my group all dressed up. At about 6 we went to eat dinner at an Italian Resturaunt called La Dolce Vita. We met up with some more people there. The resturaunt was good but kind of expensive.
We left the resturaunt and got to school at about 8:15. We put our purses and shoes in coat check and then went to the cafeteria to dance! I had tons of fun with all my friends! About an hour later Ariana, Jaime, Juli and Briana and I danced with them a bit.
About 20 minutes before the dance ended, the fire alarm went off. I couldn't hear it but a guy started yelling at us and told us to leave the school. We went outside and the ground was cold and wet. I wasn't wearing shoes because I had taken my heels off. We stood out there for about 20 minutes before they let us back in. It wasn't a big deal, some one had just pulled the alarm as a joke.
Even though the dance ended at 11:30 they put on more music and we got to dance a little longer because we had been outside. I was sad to leave at 12 when the music stopped. And my mom picked me and Ariana up and took us back to my house.
Ariana and I went to bed at about 12:30. We were both tired from the dance (especially me)!
