I was born, therefore I blog. I have a sense of the ridiculous and need an outlet for that. I can be serious too and love to write little stories about little known but important people and events. Turning 62 is not to be sneezed at. This anonymous Parker man recently celebrated his 62nd birthday with a delicious chocolate cake.
Local fire codes prohibited using the full number of candles without having a fire extinquisher close at hand . Smoke alarms would also have to be temporarily disabled and he was not prepared to bring the ladder in from the garage and do all the climbing and screw driver stuff.
But, back to the cake. Fortunately, it only took one small huff and a moderate puff to blow out all fifteen candles, aided by his 4-1/2 year old grandaughter. The grandaughter, by the way, was the one who put the candles on the cake - thus explaining their haphazard arrangement. Generous slices of cake were consumed with several scoops of ice cream on the side.
All in all, he rated the whole occasion "two thumbs up". This would approximate to a
five-star
rating on the better known and more widely used YourHub.com system of scoring.
Anonymous sources confided that the man did make a wish, but details were not immediately available.

Great stuff! I love birthday pictures, as you can tell from my own blog. Happy Belated birthday. The candle arrangement looks exceptional. Mmmm. Birthday cake. It must be lunch time!
