Blog Entry 30 of 42 Entrepreneur Vs. Mommyworld
Who Am I? Well, why have I erased what I started five times already? I guess because I am still searching for who I am. Yes, I am a mother of three wonderful, beautiful, loving, never have gotten in trouble in their lives kind of boys. (At least not within the last few minutes...right, they are at school.) Who else am I? I am also a NEW ENTREPRENEUR. Within the last year, I have started three new business. Yippee! Each business is very different and separate from the other, but they are all interesting in their own right. Let's look at the facts and see where I fit the best. To start this blog, I had to cut myself out from the middle of the three little toe heads. Just this morning, I made an appointment to have my taxes done (payment = a kidney). When dropping the boys off at school, I got cut off by a rude driver and I flipped him off in the school line (personal note, never do that, his child is probably in your child's class), I made a wholesale order for business goods without having to ask for help (o.k. only three calls, but who's counting??), I washed a load of jeans and only one chapstick was found in the dryer this time (who in the world knows how to get out that stain?), successfully found some business receipts and only one had a picture of Yoda on the back, and most importantly remembered to say this morning, "I love my life!" I mean, being who I am is just great....now to go figure out who that is....

The Bag Baby
Contributed by: Sara Crowe   on 7/16/2008

When all of my boys were babies, I loved taking them out and about. After having the twins, it was quite remarkable how many people would literally step in front of the stroller so I had to stop and they'd ask me all about the boys, how old they were, if they were fraternal or identical, and how it was being a mom of twins. I knew that if I was having a hard day, I could put the twins in the double wide stroller and have my older son push it, and I would be sure to have conversation with someone - and really quickly.

I enjoyed hearing, "Ohh, they are so cute."Having those conversations became part of me. They lifted me up; they set a tone for my relationships outside of family, and made me feel part of something bigger than myself.

Deep pause - story switch....

I got this new purse for the summer and I absolutely love it. It is a giraffe print that has a great wallet that matches. Almost every day someone comments on my bag, what they like about it, ask where I got it, and I've realized that it is a real conversation starter.

I am not sure what happened today, but I realized, my bag has become my baby...

I much preferred being three babies mama....
