Blog Entry 9 of 16 Kidding With the Youth Initiative
A three-ring circus of ranting, rambling, and reassuring on issues relevant to communities that find themselves infested with......kids. Looking for the facts and what's working? You're in the right place. Looking for fear-based or feel-good? Move along. :)

Hey, students -- Get a glimpse of the DNC!
Contributed by: Carla Turner   on 7/16/2008

C-SPAN is looking for high school students of all persuasions - - Republican, Democrat, Green, Libertarian, unaffiliated, etc. - - to be in the audience for the taping of three separate "Close-Up" episodes during the Democratic National Convention. Taping of two of the episodes will occur on the floor of the DNC site and will be on the following topics:

1) The Democratic National Party platform

2) The Democratic candidate

The third episode is probably going to be taped in the auditorium of a Douglas County high school and will be on this topic:

3) Media involvement in a political convention

Intrigued? Want to know more? Want to volunteer to be in the audience of one of the tapings of "Close-Up"? Then contact the Youth Initiative director, Carla Turner, at cturner@douglas.co.us or 303.688.4825, x5327, with the following information:

> Your name

> Your email address

> A contact phone number

> Which taping(s) you'd like to attend

Get involved - - stay involved - - make a difference!
