Blog Entry 9 of 38 Entrepreneur Vs. Mommyworld
Who Am I? Well, why have I erased what I started five times already? I guess because I am still searching for who I am. Yes, I am a mother of three wonderful, beautiful, loving, never have gotten in trouble in their lives kind of boys. (At least not within the last few minutes...right, they are at school.) Who else am I? I am also a NEW ENTREPRENEUR. Within the last year, I have started three new business. Yippee! Each business is very different and separate from the other, but they are all interesting in their own right. Let's look at the facts and see where I fit the best. To start this blog, I had to cut myself out from the middle of the three little toe heads. Just this morning, I made an appointment to have my taxes done (payment = a kidney). When dropping the boys off at school, I got cut off by a rude driver and I flipped him off in the school line (personal note, never do that, his child is probably in your child's class), I made a wholesale order for business goods without having to ask for help (o.k. only three calls, but who's counting??), I washed a load of jeans and only one chapstick was found in the dryer this time (who in the world knows how to get out that stain?), successfully found some business receipts and only one had a picture of Yoda on the back, and most importantly remembered to say this morning, "I love my life!" I mean, being who I am is just great....now to go figure out who that is....

A Heart Day message
Contributed by: Sara Crowe   on 2/11/2008

It all happened so suddenly, and I wasn't even prepared. It isn't like we are newlyweds or anything even close to that. We have been married for almost fifteen years.....

Every Saturday has a bit of a normal yet crazy routine at our house. We sleep in a little later, have a breakfast that is a bit more formal, sporting clothes are usually not to be found, and no matter the time, we are heading to some soccer, basketball, or baseball game late. This particular Saturday started out the same.

Mom, "Where is my basketball jersey?"

Mom, "Where did you put my shoes?"

Mom, "When is the game?"

The questions seemed endless, the desire to get dressed was at an all time low, and filling another water bottle seemed like a burden.

As usual, we were running a few minutes late and headed out the door with a desperate shout to get the dog out, make sure everything was locked, and out to the car ready for the day.

I get extremely nervous when we are running late (so I am always feeling a little high strung). For me, being in the car, running late, and agitated, would not be my best moment of the day. I admit, it doesn't take much to ruffle my feathers. I don't know what particular thing The Husband said to me, but it got me going. I was fuming, I was beyond angry, and I felt like I might explode. We got to the designated sporting event, just about on time, and we were sitting waiting for the game to begin.

I actually remember thinking about how angry I was, how could he, The Husband not understand me? I could feel the tension between us as we sat there stewing in our own frustration.

Older son got up, Husband got up too without saying anything to me. I felt him leave without even turning my head. The heat beside me was gone. In that moment...that one split second....I realized something that I hadn't been mentally aware of for so long. To explain it in words is impossible. Who I am...who I want to be...the mother...the wife...the friend...is all wrapped together in a package with him....my husband.

I have known I always loved him, but I felt like the girl that walked down the aisle at 23. Him moving, made me remember, remember how much I loved him. Hopefully you'll be able to find that moment...that miniscule second...that connects you to the one you love.

Sift through the chaos and the clutter, and cling to that which brings tears to your eye. With cloudy vision and a fluttery heart I say, "Husband, I love you!"
