Description:
Are you writing a thriller or a mystery? Do you want to learn more about what a Coroner's Office really does? If so, this is the session for you. Wes Riber, the current coroner of Douglas County, will speak about the Douglas County Coroner's Office, including a virtual tour of the facility. He will explain the difference between a Coroner and a Medical Examiner and will answer questions about how Coroners interact with medical legal death investigation. Wes will dispel myths about the profession. Then, he will open the floor to questions. Also, if you've written a death scene, bring it along and Wes will be happy to review it and help you improve it.
Meetings of the Parker Writers Group are normally held at the Parker Library. This meeting was moved to the Lone Tree Library to accomodate the construction in the Parker Library. The construction is currently scheduled to be completed sometime in November, 2009.
