Name: Tim Danahey
Seat you are seeking: Parker Town Council
Age: 52
Family: A wife I adore, two children, and three dogs
Occupation: Small business owner
Hometown: Prior to my thirty years in Colorado, I've lived in Nebraska, Missouri, Pennsylvania, and Ohio.
Your Web site: www.DanaheyforParker.com
Favorite local place to hang out: My deck
What do you like most about living here?: The positive people. I've never had a bad experience with anyone from Parker.
Interests & hobbies: Reading non-fiction books, hiking, and car travel on the backroads of America.
Favorite TV show:
The Office
Favorite Web site: State of Colorado Construction Bid Notices
People who inspired you (and how): George Washington for whom Governor
Morris of New York eulogized for "his fierce bipartisanship and devotion to the people" and Theodore Roosevelt who, despite his tremendous achievements, always respected the office in which he served as more important than himself.
How you have contributed to the community: The easy answer is my work on the Planning Commission, the Council Compensation Committee, and my homeowners association. The accurate answer is that I am uniting disparate interests. For the first time, traditional opponents are working together on my campaign and our discussions focus on what is best for Parker.
What are the biggest issues facing your constituency now: Achieving thoughtful growth while reinforcing Parker's small town identity during challenging economic conditions. We can do this when businesses and neighborhoods work together because community development guarantees economic development.
