WIN A LUNCH WITH THE AUTHOR BY GUESSING WHEN AND IF IT WILL!!!
A couple of years ago I did an article on a young lady at the Dairy Queen in Castle Rock. It must have resonated with the masses because it had over 1,000 hits and my head puffed up bigger than a McSwirl.
Anyway, last week I knocked out a ditty on the new
E-book vs. Amazon Kindle and the possible demise of books.
I posted it and checked the next day and it had about 50 hits, which is good for the kind of drivel I write and the twisted souls who read it, most of whom are home-bound and out of reach of the book mobile.
Then a funny thing happened; suddenly the numbers started climbing and never stopped. Right now they are at 9,878 and still rising, although more gradually since we are down to the under-6 population, many of whom can't read.
So,
I am holding a contest
; Here are the rules.
If you think it will hit 10,000 before the first of the year, then post your name, your comments and rating, along with the exact date and time you think it will hit 10,000. Then, when and if it does, you will be notified, of your prize, through the comment system of YourHub.
The grand prize will be lunch for you and a friend of your choosing with the author(that's me) at the Village Inn in Parker. Out of that lunch, in which we will feast on chocolate chip pancakes and crepes, we will explore this and other issues in depth, I will write another article and post it, along with your picture, giving you instant fame.
Of course, I will need your email address which you can send to:
<strongvoice@gmail.com>
The website and article can be accessed by two ways:
1. Go to
www.yourhub.com/parker
and go to Fran Miller's articles and find the one on the Kindle vs. Sony e-book, or:
2. Type in the following URL:
