Parker entrepreneur seeks scholarship applicants
Contributed by: Susan Cormier on 4/16/2008

A Parker franchise owner is encouraging aspiring young entrepreneurs to apply for her company's Global Young Entrepreneur's Scholarship Program.

Marsha Scheinhartz, owner of a WSI franchise, said six entrepreneurs between the ages of 21 and 31 years old will be selected worldwide as scholarship winners and each will receive a WSI franchise.

"This is a huge opportunity for a young business person to receive a franchise with WSI, a world leader in providing internet solutions to small and medium-sized businesses," Scheinhartz said.

WSI will award the scholarships by June 30, 2008. The winners also will receive mentoring from other WSI consultants to help them establish their businesses.

Among the qualities sought in the applicants are academic excellence and good business acumen, involvement in their community, a "can do" attitude, a sense of customer orientation, a driven personality, and a keen sense for sales and marketing.

WSI has more than 1,500 offices in 87 countries. In 2007, WSI received three Standard of Excellence Awards at the Annual WebAwards Competition organized by the Web Marketing Association (WMA). It also has held the top spot in Entrepreneur Magazine's Franchise 500 listing for more than seven years in a row.

"WSI hopes this program will foster and encourage the development of the next generation of entrepreneurs," Scheinhartz said.

Those who are interested in applying for the scholarship should contact Scheinhartz at marsha@wsiwebbiz.com or 303-840-3931.
